Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Oh, I'm sorry!
I'd like to complete CGF++, and THEN work on the theme, because stuff is likely to get changed around.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
I got GCF to run, turns out it was my fault for not checking the desktop before posting, not the computers. I like how it's going so far, but its a little bland as of now, but its also in development.
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Yes, of course. A lot of features wil unravel as soon as I get profiling set up.

Aha, makes sense to me. No worries.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Sorry I've been gone, has there been any updates?
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Yes, there has, take a look at the current features list, and download the new version.
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Alright I've been busy at work on CGF++ and have come out with a NEW version!
You now have to sign up and sign in to post and make threads. Also, it says "Posted by userName" so you don't have to put your name in anymore!
All passwords and usernames in the database are encrypted with an algorithm that is randomized and updated every 5 minutes with the server. So, even I can't see people's passwords.
Before download, please go over the Current Features list.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
I just updated the screenshot of CGF++ in the first post to a screenie of the version of the program I have. Mine is a little more advanced then what I have released right now.
Anyways, please check this new version out. Making accounts with passwords to my personal server from a program I am making may seem a bit suspicious or unnerving, but it is completely encrypted, and it is impossible for even me to find the file where the passwords are kept. The file is re-encrypted every 5 minutes, and moved to a random part of my server every 8.
So please try it out, it is such a cool program.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
I actually can't right now.
My comp's being stupid and won't run GM games anymore. So until I figure out why I'm going to learn Flash.
Maybe I'll stick to Flash, IDK, but I need to be able to play GM games.
Ugh, this is so annoying.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Haha, well figure it out soon, because CGF++ is a really fun program!
Raz likes it, he has an account and has posted in there.
I will have an update soon, though, so it's okay if you take a while getting it to work.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Well I've isolated a bunch of reasons why it should still be working. Just not the one for why they aren't. I mean, GM still runs but I can't do anything with it.
Oh this is incredible. I thought I knew more about computers than this. Well, luckily I think I'm getting close. The hardest part is that I'm running Vista now and never quite got used to it before this happened. But it's not all Vista's fault, I must have done something because it worked for several weeks until a while ago.
Anyway, I'm just ranting now. CGF++ sounds amazing.
I'm wondering though if it could be made in Flash though. Then its even more customizable than GM (from what I've ascertained so far) and also it can run in a web browser, and also anyone (not just us pcs) can run it.
Though I doubt you'd want to start over now that you are so far into it.
Well, whenever you are ready, I'm still able to make the graphics. Not trying to push you, but to let you know I'm still good is all.

Ya, Its good and it surprises me that its made in GM. Its turning out good.
One thing i couldn't find was the rollover buttons.
Also in the next version you need a remember me button.
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
@Jak Hak - Yes, I appreciate you being willing to help me with the theme! Also, I could make it in flash, so that Mac's can access it. In fact, great idea! I shall get started as soon as I get to a milestone in CGF++
@Raz - Every single button in CGF++ is rollover. Rollover means when you hover your mouse over it, the image becomes highlighted, so you know what button you are over. Just a neat effect.
Also, in the comming version, a Remember Me button will be there. It will load two keys into the registry, your username and password. Both are encrypted, of course. That will auto-log you in when you launch CGF++.

Also provide a remember user name only button just for security sakes.
Oh Rollover I thought you meant that a menu would come up when the mouse goes over a button.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
I am now restricted to Mac only for about hm... 6 weeks (Guessing) So i'd be very happy if you make a Flash, or Java or standard PHP version...
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Ooohohhh jeez. Well it'll be a while til I figure out where on earth my Flash CS3 CD is!
Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Do you have Flash for CS2?
Why won't that work?
You need CS2 before you can have CS3, unless there is some special way around it that I don't know of.

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
I do not have a CS2 install CD. I have one for CS3 only. I didn't know there needed to be another CD.
I used Flash CS3 for a long time, then sorta forgot about it when I started getting interesting in ShellScript again.

And, wouldn't it still be on one of your machines?

Re: CGF++, the new Central Games Forum (EXE Format!)
Okay, so here are my answers to this IQ test:
1. I have only one CD (CS3), don't know why I would need another.
2. I just loaded up new operating systems on all my computers, so no, the program wasn't.
3. I just now finished installing CS3.
4. Now I am researching how to connect to a server and pass bytes of data with Flash.
