Limiting advertising Empty Limiting advertising

Post by NAL Sun Aug 31, 2008 12:07 am

*going on from game topic* Why not make it so you can only post your creations in Screenshots/WIPs/Games if you have at least 50 (or so) posts?

Happy? Razz

Oh, and another suggestion, you need a better tongue-out smiley...

Well, we do have an ADVERTISEMENT Thread.

And well, those are just for games and all those things.

I love this idea.

Not sure how to implement it with forumotion ACP. I'm sure John or Luke could figure it out though.

We can't implement it.
Therefore we are enforcing it.

You know what to look out for.

This suggestion has been accepted.

I think you probably can, maybe make so that newbies cannot post in advertising areas

Yes you can, but I never experimented with it, so maybe not.

I will take a look, guys. I have been through the control panel backwards and forwards, and there is nothing specific for doing this task, but I might be able to Jerryrig something

Funny how NAL suggested this, and he is actually advertising.

I noticed that in the rules it says you cannot advertise unless your active etc, but you can affiliate. Isn't that advertising?

BTW, since Forumotion use phpBB2 i have seen there control panel so unless you have changed it you can implement by i think it is setting the privileges of newbies to be unable to post in the Advertising thread.

Well there are two different ways.

Take commercials for example, they tell you about it.

But then Some T-Shirts just have a logo of a place or something on it, with no info at all really.

True - But we are talking about straight out advertising, like posting inside the advertising forum
