Okay, I just thought you didn't know.

I requested the group, he made the topic.

Well the PM that I got was from him.
Therefore I will wait until he comes back.
If he wants you to be the head of the group I shall make it so.

Why should you make it so.

What happened was AranoZX wanted a team, his topic was blocked, i remade it so that we can talk ontopic, i decided we should have a user group of us, and i sent the request to John.

does it really matter?

No, i was just letting everyone know what had happened. (It happened when you guys weren't online) So i have added the poll! Now lets get some gamemaking!

What kind of games should we start with

I think we need job positions for everyone to make effective teams. Like where the person is strongest in.

Spriters - Lead Spriter, Spriter, Spriter
Designers - Lead Designer, Designer, Designer
Musicians - Musician (USE FL)
Coders - Lead Coder, Coder, Coder

As you can see, to make an effect Game Making Team we will need at least, ten people.

Then we will place them into their respective job area.

I get lead designer.
Also I don't like games that are all about graphics.

Dude. We need the team to be functioning with a name, and the team leader will divide into the team jobs.

I'm not so sure what I'm best at. I'm good at designing things, but I suck at spriting. I'm not that good at making music tracks, but I'm getting a lot better at coding.

Yea, you just need to ask im_not_emo to be the group leader also.

Well, i'm fine with AracnoZX being a Co-Leader. (I mean, he is like the leader) Anyway, alot of people think that a team name is important. It is, but for a succesful game, a name isn't needed. I think i set the poll length to 10 days, but i'll shorten that if it becomes obvious what name will win. C-Nair, you based that on what the big companies use. It actually isn't anything like that. For small games, one person can do everything. But it takes longer, for the game we are making, we need:
+ Lead Coder (Me), Maybe Second Programmer
+ Lead Spriter (AracnoZX), Spriter
+ Lead Muscian (Me)
+ Lead Sound Artist
+ Storywriter

I agree with you AracnoZX, games that are all about graphics generally have low gameplay value. I think the next step, is to decide what the game story will be for this game
We can all design levels once the game is finished

I am applying for Programmer.

I'd like to point out, that for now the engine is largely done. We need a story to continue work, and so until a story is approved, this project will be quite slow...

Nobody's even told me the parameters of the game. Or what it's going to be about. If I'm out of the loop the whole time, I don't think I could be very effective.

Me and im_not_emo are still working some things out.

im in for programming. but you do not need 3 designers. especially when the whole team can contribute to designing anyway. i cannot do music or spriting.
